Checklist: what to do the last week before your wedding? (Downloadable)
T-7. Your dress is ready, the rings ordered, the venue booked for months. You should feel relieved. And yet... a little voice tells you that you are bound to forget something. This feeling is completely normal. The final week before a wedding is often when the last details pile up, and when tiredness starts to creep in.
This checklist has been designed to help you get through this week with ease. It brings together everything you need to confirm, prepare and anticipate between D-7 and D-1, so that on the big day all you have to do is enjoy it.
T-minus 7 days: the essential confirmations
- Confirm in writing (email or text message) the arrival time with each key supplier: caterer, photographer, florist, DJ/band, hair stylist & makeup artist.
- Check that the directions to the venue are clearly communicated to everyone.
- Review the schedule for the day and share it with your wedding planner or bridesmaid/maid of honour acting as coordinator.
- Check the weather forecast and prepare a plan B if you have planned outdoor spaces.
T-minus 3 days: personal preparations
- Collect or have delivered all the items of your outfit (dress, shoes, jewellery, underwear, veil).
- Prepare the bride's survival kit (see our dedicated checklist, link below).
- Delegate the final errands or deliveries to a trusted friend or family member.
D-1: The eve of the wedding
- Don't do anything important. Truly.
- Go to bed early, eat lightly, stay hydrated.
- Get your things ready for the following morning (ID document, accessories, formal attire).
- Silently thank everything you have achieved, you have done a remarkable job!
